I graduated from the University of Washington Physician Assistant Program in 2005 and am now working with the University of Washington Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department on the Shoulder and Elbow Service.
What do you most enjoy about your work?
I most enjoy being able to take part in caring for patients and watching them regain function after surgery.
What is your treatment philosophy?
Listen to the patient, make a connection and tailor the treatment to meet the goals of the individual.
What are your interests outside of medicine?
Backpacking, running, traveling and tinkering.
What is the focus of your teaching efforts?
Focus on all aspects of better preparing health care professionals and patients for the many challenges that lay ahead for them, while continuing to learn something from each one of them.
What do your most recent research efforts focus on?
Working on various innovations to maximize outcomes following shoulder and elbow surgical techniques.
What is the focus of your clinical efforts?
Optimizing non-operative and post-operative outcomes of patients with shoulder and elbow problems, through counseling, customized rehabilitation and individual teaching.
